The Dacia Sandrider marks a historic moment as Dacia's first entry into the World Rally Championship at the 2025 Dakar Rally. This race car is designed to embody the perfect balance of rational functionality and emotional appeal, reflecting the core values of the Dacia brand.
My role on this project was to convert the CAD data into production-ready 3D models with accurate quad topology and clean edge loops. This was crucial to ensure smooth animation and simulation workflows during the VFX pipeline. I focused on maintaining the integrity of the vehicle’s design, while optimizing the models for high-performance rendering and dynamic simulations.
This project showcased my expertise in hard-surface modeling and the ability to transform complex CAD structures into aesthetically accurate and technically efficient 3D assets. The end result contributed to a visually striking presentation that highlights the Sandrider’s bold, adventurous spirit.
